What is DEEP?
DEEP / 1000 is an educational, non-commercial visual archive that brings together 1,000 astronomical image records from publicly accessible NASA resources. Instead of presenting a conventional thumbnail gallery, it arranges the collection in one continuous WebGL field and requests full media and metadata only when a visitor opens an object. Every published record preserves the source and supplied credit. Source-checked editorial guides explain what to observe, how color was produced and why a feature matters, while guided Trails connect selected images around ideas such as scale, morphology, wavelength and instrumentation. The project was created by Daniel García Silva as a frontend performance study. DEEP is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by NASA.
